2002 Wrangler Severe Vibration

Well after many many trials and errors I decided to pull the rear driveshaft and put it in gear The output shaft on the Tcase is bent like a Taco Il upload a video shortly.
 
I am looking up used 231 Tcases it is showing Long and Short input shaft? whats the diffrence they look the same in the pictures at least Is one auto or manual?
 
Disregard the post above I now see that you cant put a tcase from a manual jeep into a auto. However getting conflicting posts about auto tcase going into a manual it sounds like some people got it to work since its not sealing anything?

Do more research. There are different spline counts and the length is important to keep the transmission from leaking out the weep hole.

from what I understand all jeep tj Manual 4.0 tcases are 23 tooth. 4 cylinder is diffrent what i was trying to find out is if i can put a tcase from a auto jeep 23 tooth Into my manual 5 speed have some cheap ones in my area.

Some early jeep xj 4.0l np231s can be 21 spline. I would count splines before paying.

Early tj auto cases had a long spline that you may need to trim if it bottoms out. The rest will interchange.

Thanks for the info I will count the splines to confirm.
 
I cheaped out I ordered a Used shaft on ebay for 100 buks and new seals for 30 buks. I was between that replacing the tcase with used one they all appear to be $300-500... or installing the slip yoke again kit with driveshaft $600 I just use this thing around town for now doesnt see the parkway or anything yet.
