So get this, I went underneath the jeep and tugged on the two E brake cables to see if they were loose. After that, the light and buzzing stopped. Tomorrow, I will make a little adjustment on the cables and hopefully that will take care of the problem. Still can't find where the E brake switch is.

There are two switches in series. Series since both are in the same circuit but able to trip the dash light when connected to ground. 1 is on the combo block, the other is at the base of parking brake handle in the center console. All you did was move the cable that connects to the parking brake handle and that moved something to take pressure off of the limit switch and let it open up to turn the light off.

If it was adjusted too tight, the handle would be harder to raise and move up off of the switch lever and produce the opposite of what he is experiencing.
To be clear, the parking brake function and the cables, all 3 of them have nothing to do with the switch. You can remove them in their entirety and the switch will still trip the light when the handle is raised. It is just a simple limit switch. Handle up, closes the switch to ground. Handle down, opens the circuit. It doesn't know or care about anything else but the handle position.
This is the switch. It mounts to the side of base below and behind the handle pivot. The mounting screw goes through the copper ring to complete one side to ground. The contacts and lever do the rest.
