2000 Jeep TJ exhaust confusion

I’ve been spending hours trying to resolve a rough idle and multiple O2 sensor codes on my 2000 TJ (po132, po135, po138, po141). I’ve replaced all the sensors I can (the o2 sensors themselves, the IAC, the TPS, PCV, and cleaned the MAP. I’m now down to the cats…

I have what appears to be an early 2000 TJ. I have o2 sensors just forward and just after the cat that sits above the skid plate.

I also have had two o2 sensors on the precats that’s go nowhere, closer to the intake manifold… which is- I assume- because this part of the system is from a “later 2000.”

From what I’ve read there are early and later 2000 model year runs, with one of the differences being the exhaust.

Can someone educate me on what I need to purchase to replace my cat system from the intake manifold to the muffler? Parts websites don’t seem to know the difference between early and later 2000 TJs.

Help?

So you've got two pre-cats in the downpipes with O2 sensors that don't go anywhere?

The cutoff date is 1/24/00 when the exhaust changed for Federal and California.
There is a before that date exhaust and after that date exhaust.
Check below for the OEM Part numbers.
