1/2 inch hose coming off front diff

I was just checking underneath the front of the TJ and there is a 1/2 inch rubber hose going into to the front axel next to the diff left side and not connected to anything else, its about 18" long and it has an opaque plug and cap in the non fixed end that looks like a breather. I cant get pic without jacking it up high, It has a fixing clip and must have come dislodge causing it hang down under the front steering.

I am sure someone here would know what it is and where its supposed to be.

Its the diff breather and it should be affixed to the upper driver side radiator mounting bolt.

Thanks for that It had a new radiator fitted this year before I bought it so they possibly forgot to put it back in place because the clip is still on the end of the hose near the breather.

I found that same hose had come loose on the '01 Sport 4.0L that I purchased back in January.
Instead of running the hose over to the radiator I mounted it to the fire wall near the brakes vacuum booster.

Anywhere it can freely move without tearing or getting rubbed through etc..

Just make sure to route it upward. It’s to keep water from getting into your differential. Generally, higher is better.

We may be upside down to you guys but we are not around the wrong way! you may be quite surprised to learn that left is still left here lol

Could cause some confusion off road though with RHD jeep in US, Spotter: "Passenger passenger passenger Passenger"
"FFS I SAID PASSENGER"
