Are you two foot driving much with the auto? It's a weird feeling and probably wouldn't help much here, but learning to use your left foot with the brake as you get the throttle up is a trick I've been working on.

I haven't. From what I gather, that is a trick to use engine torque roll to help lift the left front tire up and over things in specific scenarios.

Another use case is avoiding rolling back, which I think is less technical and likely more frequently useful. Of course the chance of breaking stuff is more all this bound up torque.

I two foot. I practiced after the auto swap in February 2024 and fully transitioned about May 2024. Hopefully I can get this sorted out early today.

Throttle control does that. We can indefinitely hold position in the middle of a steep climb entirely by using the gas pedal. And we can roll back and move forward in a controlled manner by slowly reducing and increasing throttle.

Chewy is a place I’ll two foot. Need some revs if stuck half way, allows a better bump.

My point is that you can't do that from a stop unless the Jeep is braced or blocked from rolling back.

@JMT - are you back on the trail this morning?

@JMT - are you back on the trail this morning?. Have a list of things to check, replace, clean, and fill.

No. Heading out in a few minutes to get some parts and supplies. Rough idle, stunted power

Went to the O’Reill’s about 7:40am. Replaced an 02 sensor with no change. Ran my codes again. Still had a P0133 and a new one P0305. That’s a misfire on cylinder 5. Replaced the plug. Back in business! Washed the Jeep up. Met up with the guys for Hell’s Revenge at 10am.

Good day. Was a bit shaky at first due to the rollover. There’s a trust issue between a driver and rig. Got into it.

Did Hell’s Gate, had a good attempt at the Escalator and backed out after about 10 min. Realized I didn’t have my rear locker on after I backed out. Finished with the Staircase. 👍🏼

Hopefully someone will have some pictures.

My idea of Moab.

+ friends.

Here’s the damage from the rollover. Glad I had corner armor or my tub would be crushed. Front fenders saved the hood. Roll bar on back driver corner is bent inward. Cooler, sub, and tools all stayed in the rig. Just little knick knacks and trash fell out.

Hurry up and get here.

Unfortunately, I think I’ll be gone before you arrive. 🙁

I'm hoping we get there at a decent hour tomorrow and can do a quick trail. We'll let you know when/where we're at

Hate that happened to you. It'll buff out.
Any Video of the others who completed this obstacle? Seems like the spotter might not of had you on the ideal line. Just my opinion from watching the videos.

Mike pulled line after many attempts (TJ). Then Ryan got up after many attempts (LJ). Then I tried many attempts thinking we now knew the line (TJ). There were too many spotter voices in my opinion and my own brain saying throw in the towel, but I didn’t speak up. Like Apollo in Rocky III. The issue is hard to describe, but the spotters on the passenger side were saying stay a bit tight. The spotter in front was saying a little bit more right. I couldn’t be in both places. On that climb everyone thought I had it and they were rooting yea yes, and then out of nowhere oh no, no, no. In the end it’s my fault. I should have thrown in the towel.

Personally I prefer 1 spotter. I only need 2 voices in my head, mine and the spotters'.
