Yes, it gets punched from the inside. It can be done with the locker and gears in the vehicle with careful punch positioning.

Good idea on a 3-D printed version!

A long narrow punch I’d imagine is the play to shallow out the angle.

I’ll have to play around with the printing, I have access to different materials that I think would work great.

Use fiber re-enforced PETG.

snapped the inner barb off so I could get a better angle, and sure enough I was able to punch it out, no heat or penetrating lube needed.

Also was able to model the fitting on solidworks, will likely try out the print next week.
