AiRock when I bought it in $2005 or 2006 was close to $5K for everything if I remember correctly. That $1300 is only the shocks. I have 12" travel Fox shocks with remote reservoir & LSC so they were a little more than that.
Yes, the 1300 is my guess cost to put it back together as is. Like you said earlier it is a good time to relocate mounts, considering slowing things down some more. My goal was to get Jeep up and running no later than Mid May? 5k back then, sure it is more now.
They always seem to morph into more than we'd planned when we start... I really thought mine would have been running and driving 2+ years ago.
Well….made some progress today, I stopped at exhaust drop step to get at passenger side long-arm upper bolt. T-case drained, nothing alarming, no metal fines evident. I used my bicycle headset tool to remove ball bushings, don’t seem to bad. Shocks look rough but seem to be functioning fine? Tranny mount feels squishy. Not sure when to drop t-case, Running out of bench space. All good
STILL AVAILABLE! Built to order. That’s FYI for all. After further review, too much work and cost to weld stuff back on for my rig. I am still considering relocating rear coil mounts. Good reason to get a welder finally.

I was just being silly, and not wise for me to going any further than what I am doing now. I need to stop daydreaming, A frame swap, meaning really doing it right, building up and roll under body. I am beat from yesterday, tuff doing this alone. I wonder sometime if I have taken on too much. My wife just wants me to fix it and sell.
I feel that way sometimes too but I keep pluggin away at it...
I don't have that other half to bug me about my toys.. Could be why I'm broke all the time. Get it fixed and take her for a few drives and she'll change her mind.
I can't say how well they hold up but knew someone who had them.
Have you considered a stepstool-on-a-string so you can pull it back in after using it? I always thought these rope stirrups seemed kinda sketchy... But then again I was never a horse rider
I don't see why you would NEED to either. When I did my SYE I left it installed (you take the back half of the case off). Some people like to fully remove it to make it easier but you don't have to so it's probably the same here
