Can loose jam nuts cause clunks?

Can loose jam nuts on adjustable control arms cause clunks when going over bumps in the road?

    Pinion angle changed

Okay, so I had my rear driveshaft angle at about 16 degrees and the rear pinion was at about 15 degrees when I completed the my Currie suspension install. I never noticed any vibrations until today because I hadn't been at highway speeds until now. Anyways, I noticed over 40 mph it definitely...

Currie Track Bar Relocation Bracket Question

I'm running this with my Currie 4" lift: http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/Product.aspx?id=3796 My question is, can the lower portion of it (the part that's supposed to be welded to the axle tube) be welded on while the axle is still in the tube and everything? I'm asking because I don't...

Who makes a good reservoir shock?

Who makes a good reservoir shock for the TJ? I don't want the most expensive one out there, but I'm also not oppose to spending a decent amount of money. I'd like it to be serviceable / rebuildable as well. I've seen them from King, Fox, Bilstein, etc... Just curious to know if anyone has run...

A 100% unbiased review of the Currie 4" short arm suspension & the Currie Johnny Joint

I'd like to start by saying that I have zero affiliation with Currie whatsoever. I decided to go with Currie because of the very well spoken and highly regarded reputation they have amongst the veteran Wrangler owners. I think that when you ask one of these old school off-roaders what the best...

    Flex Fail

Saw this elsewhere and just had to share with the crew. http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/watch-what-happens-when-a-jeep-flex-goes-wrong-1749958700 This is one of the better "Can I?" vs. "Should I?" videos that I have seen in awhile.

    Removing front springs

Last time I removed the springs I used spring compressors. This time I am installing my Currie 4" lift and decided I'd rather avoid spring compressors and just get the springs out by lowering the axle. Well, it seems that even with everything disconnected the only way to get the axle to drop...

How to stop coil spring from falling out?

So im putting a long arm kit in my jeep next week before i go to rausch. Now we put the exact same lift in the exact same jeep so i know what to expect. Now when fully flexed the coil spring falls out. Whats the best way to stop that? Limiting straps, bump stops? Any ideas?

    Gotta love Currie!

First off, I will say that along with producing some of the best (if not THE BEST) Jeep suspension and drivetrain parts available, the guys at Currie are also some of the nicest guys out there. I was speaking with them today about which rear track bar I needed for my TJ and not only did they...

Currie rear track bar for Wrangler TJ?

I'm a huge Currie fan. In the process of building my TJ I'm looking for track bars. I decided on a Currie front track bar, but looking at my options for rear track bars it does not appear that Currie offers a rear track bar for the TJ, but instead a track bar relocation bracket. Can anyone shed...

Let's clear the air on Rough Country lifts

Okay, I personally have NEVER run anything by Rough Country and I don't think I ever would. However, I am consistently hearing negative things about Rough Country, but at the same time I am also hearing tons of positive things about Rough Country. Part of me always wants to steer people away...

New suspension and bushings = one hell of a nice ride!

So, I spent the past several months putting on a new lift (2.5" OME springs with Bilstein 5100 shocks and IRO track bars), new axles (RCV and Revolution), new 33" Duratrac tires, and so much more. In the process I've replaced every single suspension bushing all the way down to the ball joints...

What track bar has the best clearance on a Wrangler TJ?

Just curious to know what track bars have the best clearance (front and rear) on a Wrangler TJ? I'm running a 3" suspension lift on Dana 44 front and rear axles. There's so many options out there I'm just looking to buy track bars that offer the least amount of interference with suspension...

    Wrangler TJ Ball Joint Replacement

If you own a Jeep Wrangler TJ and happen to run larger tires (most of us do) or off-road it at all, you're likely going to go through ball joints in short order. Depending on how hard you wheel (and how big your tires are), it's not uncommon to have to replace them every 40k miles (sometimes...

    Upgraded ball joints?

I plan on replacing the ball joints on my TJ as preventative maintenance. While I'm at it, is there a worthwhile ball joint upgrade that anyone has experience with or should I just run the OE Spicer ones?

What are bumpstops and what do they do?

Clank! ... if that sound is coming from your suspension, that's not a good thing. If you just bottomed your springs and heard that metallic clank, it probably means you banged metal on metal and are at risk of bending or breaking some part of your suspension. And that means you probably need a...
