What do you guys use to prevent rust?

As mentioned above: Fluid Film, in and outside the frame and tub holes. Or CRC https://www.acehardware.com/departments/automotive-rv-and-marine/fluids-and-lubrication/lubricants/80851 or, PB Blaster Surface Shield. Really any lanolin based product will work.

Ticking sound coming from my engine

Good luck figuring it out and I don't mean that sarcastically.....well, maybe a little.;) There are so many threads on this forum in the TJ section alone about ticking noises and going down the rabbit hole taking things apart, rebuilding top ends, etc. etc. Not sure any of them were resolved or...

    The Saga Continues…

I know some (most) of you guys really enjoy modifying your TJ's, some the extreme like in this case but that was a beautiful LJ as it was before all the surgery. Wow I'm no expert or engineer, but it looks super clean and if it has pretty much everything you wanted and the guys giving you a...

    Seat Bushings

If I get 2 or 3 years or more, I'd be happy. I don't really drive the TJ daily so we'll see.

    Seat Bushings

That suuuucks to read. I suspected they wouldn't.

How Stellantis Destroyed Jeep (YouTube Video)

Joined a local group here recently (Central NJ) and a lot of JL owners and 2 Gladiator owners have had start failures, dash gremlins and random shut-offs happen to them. I think most of the JK's are sorted though one of them had a front axel failure recently, which reminds me that the axel on a...

    Seat Bushings

I have some printed bushings I bought somewhere.....maybe through a link via someone on this site, I can't remember. EDIT: found the link. Its been over a year since purchasing . Im a slacker because I haven't installed them yet. 615 South Front Seat Slider...

    Radiator gurgling after shutting off

This has happened to me when offroading in very hot weather. Hasn't happened in a long time. The only thing since then that Ive done was in terms of "big work" was replace my AC compressor, and other AC accessories in the process. Never had it happen again...least not that Ive noticed.

Post your tan carpet with black dashboard

Tan, grey and black. I like it, a lot. Excuse my semi-dismantled center console. Im getting ready for a deep clean this weekend.

Post your tan carpet with black dashboard

Sorry, I didn't get to pull the jeep out today. It was a busy day with work. Will attempt again tomorrow. Just wanted you to know that I didn't forget. 🙏

Post your tan carpet with black dashboard

It's beautiful IMO and adds depth to the look vs a plain, one color interior. I'll take some photos in the sun on Sat and post them when I take it down to the beach.

Post your tan carpet with black dashboard

Sorry I don't have any photos to display for the thread but I had a camel colored carpet and went to the Bedrug grey. I personally love the black / tan and grey combo. Considering how filthy light colored carpets can get I suggest going with black color. But I think either will look good w your...

    1999 TJ Frame Repair

That looks really bad. But overall a beautiful chili pepper TJ. No matter which way you go you're going to spend a pretty penny. A new to you pristine Jeep Wrangler from the West Coast not only means time and travel but a lot of money. A frame swap would be idea IF THE TUB is perfect. Which I...

Are there issues on a 2005 TJ 4.0 I should know about?

Please, please, please do yourself the favor of coating the frame, in and out, with Fluid Film. It works. Without it you will 100% need frame work. Weep holes are also highly recommended. Believe me when I say that NE (NY, CT, NJ) salt rots the TJ frame faster than you know.

Are there issues on a 2005 TJ 4.0 I should know about?

If you have a JK, for sure. But okay, will admit that these older TJ's can be unpredictable. But once dialed in and refreshed, they're gold.

The never-ending "what do I need to lift" question

You don't 'have to' go with adjustable. I have a 3.5 lift on my TJ (close to 10 years now) and contrary to popular believe it never needed adjustable control arms, before or after installing a SYE kit and double cardan drive shaft @the rear. I did however replace all of my old control arms with...

    Frame rust repair

Can't speak on Pocono and the like but Safe-T-Cap are the OG's. I know they so solid work too.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Ironic as I was going to replace mine with the same BJ's brand but due to the convenience of Walmart I purchased one from them. $150 w a 3 year warranty. We'll see how well it holds up. The old Advanced Auto Gold lasted 6 years. Who would've thought!

What did you do to your TJ today?

Changed out the EO hood latch 'bungees' with Daystar's.

    Alternative subwoofer and amplifier

Agree, to each his own. In all honesty, I need music. A lift, not really. But it does look good on mine IMO ;)
