Recently acquired a second TJ that my son will eventually be driving.

In 2019, I installed the recommended subwoofer and amplifier from the SHOP tab on this Jeep forum in my yellow TJ.
It was an easy installation, and I have been very pleased with it.
I want to replicate this upgrade in the newer red jeep.

While the links are still there to Amazon on the SHOP tab of this forum, both products now list as "Currently unavailable."

Does anyone have a recommended alternative that is currently available?
(And preferably reasonably priced.)

You probably need the amp and subwoofer models. Just because it isn't listed on one site, doesn't mean it isn't still available. Reasonably priced is relative. I spent $1000 on my Alpine PDX-v9 and another $500 on my molded dual 10" subwoofer box. Prices are still the same 10 years later and both are still working fine. The Alpine PDX-v9 is still arguably the best amp on the market. So, reasonably price is relative to how much you are willing to spend. Some people are willing to spend more than that much on a lift.

Because a lift is more useful and sometimes necessary.
A stereo, not so much. ;)

Blasphemy! You need both. ;)

I need to be more specific.
The sub I'm looking for needs to fit in the original subwoofer location between the front seats. I have the factory sub now, but it doesn't work. I want an amp small enough to fit under the dash and large enough to meet the requirements of the aftermarket subwoofer. Reasonably priced is less than $300 for the sub and the amp combined.

The kicker sub and amp I have in my other jeep are no longer available except on ebay. I've looked.

I don't want to argue, but a nice stereo on a drive is much more enjoyable to me. But to each his own. I would never lift my Jeep. It is my daily driver and lifting it opens up potentially huge suspension issues.

Agree, to each his own. In all honesty, I need music. A lift, not really. But it does look good on mine IMO ;)

I've replaced the front and rear with 5.25" from Crutchfield. I have two TJ's, have the Quadratec replacement sub in one of them. It works, but not really notable quality. That one is in the Sahara I'm giving to my kids. So not doing anything more on that one.

For my LJ, I have JL 5.25" front and rear. Still has the OEM sub in the console. Thinking of replacing it with either the Kicker 6.75" linked above. Also thought of getting one of those powered 8" or 10" and jam it in there, but not even sure if I want to spend the money since it's just for wheeling, soft top, and never really going to sound that good. I believe the last owner had one of those powered kicker 8" subs under the back seat. So I have the connector still there, assuming it works. Just not sure i want a sub there considering I got rid of the back seat.

I do have a small Alpine amp - power pack ktp-445u. The LJ has a custom roll cage. So the rear sound pods are temporairily zip tied in the back. Most likely option to replace them would be getting Alpine roll bar mounted 6.5" back there.

Other option would be getting some 6X9 boxes that are designed for the YJ wheel wells. Though buy the time that is said and done, probably be cleaner to just get the Alpine above since they'd be secured to the cage. The 6X9 boxes would have to be bolted down some how. Either put holes in the tub as one option. Other idea would be to attach somehow to the OEM hard top nuts since I don't have a hard top.

Supposedly fits in the center console after some plastic removal. Sub & amp combo

I went this route in my TJ. Fits in the center console with some slight modification like the write up. I ended up just moving the storage tray inset from mounting from below the whole console unit to setting it on top and mounting it that way which gave enough clearance for the sub. Plenty of power cruising with the top/doors off and a lot of ability to tweak the sub’s settings.
