    It howls under load, just don’t feel right, with no rear shaft installed, it has too much backlash, think maybe pinion depth, I will open it up after the first of the year

    Yeah, drove it today, reset the pinion angle to 1.5-1.6, the rear diff just don’t seem right, backlash just doesn’t seem right. It’s seems likely that the gears are noisy. Pisses me off, I spent good money on getting them installed… by a local offroad shop.

    So latest update, went to install the ax15 to the atlas, the rear output shaft bound up. So i ordered a new input shaft for the atlas, had Novak install, and found that the inner spines from the input were binding by about.030”. So they installed the spacer plate from advanced and everything...

    Finally going to get finished. 68 with 18k original miles, swapped in a 572 hemi that I built. Bought in 1991 and I have never driven her. Envy!

    Ax15 going in, I have the rebuilt nsg for sale, this is my solution, easier than a 435, I had to tweak the shifter to get it to match up to what the original was. Now to finish the rear main seal.
