    Can anyone identify these?

Welcome. Your gonna find quite a few loose connectors especially with the base SE model. Such as Auto vs Std trans, a/c systems, cruise control, hardtop vs soft ect. but there should not be any exposed power leads. Since the harness is typical across the models there can be a lot of unused...

    Headlight switch issues

Welcome to the TJ Forum. On the earlier TJ's with the dash switch like mine those particular aftermarket switches can be hit and miss on quality and the oem is preferred but the NAPA Echlin line are also decent quality.

Anyone replace rusted evap hard line from gas tank to canister?

I used 3/16 with no mods to the end. I have a pex tool with the SS clamps that clamped the hose but a constant tension hose clamp would work fine.

Overheating and leaking when A/C is on

Interestingly my son installed a new Denso rad last August (during resto) and has been experiencing temperature issues since, then 2 weeks ago she overheated (in our typical low temps) and puked w/o the AC on. New pump, cap and stat was no change so for giggles we hit up O'Reilly's for a cheapo...

I would grab a smartphone borescope off of Amazon or similar and get a good look internally, should tell you what you need to know. The body mounts at the torque boxes need to be addressed or it's gonna creep right thru, there are simple repair sections available for those.

2001 TJ cranks long time before starting

Try the regular fuel pump test by turning the key from off to the run position a few times without starting then do a normal start. This will re-pressurize the fuel system to confirm if your fuel pump or fuel regulator is failing.
