117° in WA? Real men don’t need A/C

It’s 115 here today. Not the norm.

My AC had the house down to 88 degrees.

I drank beer. Wet a towel. Put it on my neck.

Fuck off with the heat.

Yeah central A/C isnt very common. its 50/50 if people have a little window unit or not. And it's not the heat that's killing the west side, its the damn humidity

I'd expect the number of people with even a portable AC unit to be more like 20% around us in Western Wa... Last night the low temp at home was 79... in the house it never got below 84 last night :( I think we're sleeping in the truck camper tonight... IT has AC lol.

Welding yesterday at 104 degrees wasn't my best idea.

But then again, how often do you see a map like this with Washington being one of the hotter spots lol.

It's 101* now and slated for 107* in a few hours here in Spokane. Most have AC on the East side of WA, it's the West side they don't have it very often. Trying to keep the doors closed and cooking outside on the grill if we can stand it just to keep the house cooler. It only got down to 83* last night. AC unit is old, 25 years, it's amazing they last that long since I lived in TX and they don't last near that long anywhere in TX.

Yeah, I have family in Spokane and visit fairly often... can get very hot, and very cold LOL, I like the west side better.

Now though I just read that King County is stopping garbage collection because of the heat, and some restaurants are closing because they don't have AC and it's too hot inside.

First time in history that Seatac airport recorded 3 days in a row above 100 degrees...

Oh well, I guess it gives us something different to whine about :)

united whining still beats divided whining :ROFLMAO:

yesterday my neighbor hand this blow up pool/slide thing set up for all the kids (probably ages 6 thru 10) and had a bunch of family over and their kids. I just about shoved those kids outta the way and belly flopped into all 8" of water

i dont have AC but i dont live where there is traffic so i just keep the doors off and thats my AC. I also have a fan hooked to my invertor like a trashy redneck that iam. I was looking at my back seat seeing if i can hook a very small window ac up to the invertor but not enough watts........looking for a bigger invertor.

This.
We made a big crockpot of potato soup Sunday so that we only really need to run the microwave to heat it up for dinners next few days. Anything else we planned for the grill. Keep the range use to a minimum.

Well now. The main road into and out of our little valley is melting. Or more to the point, when they chip sealed it last year the asphalt mixture was off and is now emulsifying in the heat on that section.

Sheesh I’d rather 117 with little to no humidity than the 100-105 we have been getting down here lately with around 100 percent humidity. As soon as you step outside you instantly start sweating.. lol
I used to work out of Lake Charles. I loved it down there. Except for the humidity. All the crawfish in the world aren’t worth that damn humidity. Maybe. LOL.
