Make sure you use the synthetic. It lasts much longer between changes.I also need to change my blinker fluid and repack my muffler bearings...

Nice job and decal.Put a Hood gas strut on my tailgate, got sick of it closing on me! not the best solution long term but works great and only cost $20au ($14us) all up from the hardware store.

if I was that close at the rear I would probably pull my front shaft and see what it does.Do you think closer to 1 degree could possibly eliminate all vibration? I might try getting closer to that 1 degree mark, . I read on here with the double cardin you can run the rear axle between 0-1 degree under, but to shoot for 1/2 degree which I think Im about as close as possibly with my degree finder.
Also sometimes people aren't as close as they think...if you're differential has the flat spots on either side of the cover put the angle finder on that and just subtract 90... That's a good reference point.if I was that close at the rear I would probably pull my front shaft and see what it does.
That's awesome. Thanks man! That my friend is our homebuilt 1980s CBR 500r go-kart.

Changed the transmission fluid (at 160,000 miles, i'm not sure the PO did it...ever) - put in RedLine MTL. 1-2 shift is so much better now (5 spd manual, 4.0) and overall drives a lot better now, but still trying to work out if I can improve the shifting/driving experience - are there other things I can do to tighten things up (e.g., tighten shift linkage, etc.)? I'm new to jeeps, so not sure if there are other options apart from replacing my synchros (which I can't do), but thought I'd ask![]()
i would have drove mine except the town and state decided to put 25 tons of salt down on bare roads here. so it is now parked for the rest of the winter which will be until June by time all the salt is gone again. but did voteDrove the Jeep to vote early and often.![]()

Don’t let him fool ya... his Jeep is pristine and dolled up with all the goodies!!Bought a 4 pack of black chair leg deals and installed one over my on board air fitting up front.
I like this thread, but boy I feel like I'm really struggling to find something of value to post.
Sorta, like .....today, I tightened my valve stems.... tomorrow I plan to armor all my spare ....
I guess this is a sign of that brief period of time we think we are satisfied, or have it about where we want it, the illusion it's done .....while the folks that sell all the aftermarket parts are grinning ear to ear and stocking the shelves.
In a honesty, the last 2.5 years on here have been really fun, tinkering with a toy has been really enjoyable, I did that as a teen for years...it was called " having a car " in my family...if you wanted one, go get it and get it running.
Meeting @Hog and his gang has been a real bonus, he's a great bud. Really good folks.
I am really satisfied with my white 03 , it's not at all the ultimate Rubi, I know better. It runs good, drives nice, looks cool , and has a good overall accessory package- the bumpers and rock bars make a nice all around consistent look, and it's totally functional front to back, isn't butchered anywhere and is overall solid. I'm thankful to have it.
I also like that it's nice enough to turn heads, at the same time not so pristine you can't get it off road and enjoy it. And, like any Rubicon, it will get it done off road.
I'm going to run a new lead for the new rear LEDs with some wire I found that is proper gauge but heavily sheathed, and call it good for a while.
I am curious about those stock size stereo receivers that the screen comes out and stands up.. how hard are those to wire in and are they worth having.
Nice, that's a big help, thank you! It'll give me something to do tonight and I'll let you know how it goes.Something I found that had a profound impact to tighten up the shifting would be to check the (4) bolts that hold the shifter to the top of the transmission. I found that these bolts were so loose on my '01 that I needed to tighten down the bolts 1/4".
Is there two? Oh yea, the "right" and the "wrong". Bernie Sanders is why I moved from VT. Instead of giving illegal immigrants free social security benefits, I'm all for giving them a free ride home.Guess I know your party affiliation![]()

Driveline shops say there is a little trial and error, at the same time CV shafts are pretty forgiving... relatively. I would also really check my transmission mount, and if you ever replace it, use a high quality rubber, not urethane. Driveline shops experienced with TJs see issues with those.if I was that close at the rear I would probably pull my front shaft and see what it does.
I wish. That was a local Jeep for sale. It took my life savings to run 35s.How are the pitbull’s holding up?
I did mine a couple years ago.put on military spec battery ends. Fun project, soldiered and crimped, waterproofed. The cables ended up being good so only did the new ends.

It absolutely is. No roll cage, spins in all 4 gears and maxes out at about 120kmhThat thing absolutely looks like a death trap and I want to drive it very badly
