Hello All,
Another TJ question. I think I've found my unicorn: it's a 2004 manual Rubicon with 164,000 miles and a hard top. The owner is retired naval aviator who I believe when he says there the jeep is in as good condition a condition as it looks. The muffler is rusting (no pics) and there is some surface rust on the drivers side tub under the carpet. Overall the Jeep looks awesome and drives just like a TJ should.
The only minor issue when we got back from the test drive and parked on his driveway (very minor slope, I'd call it almost flat), I put on the parking brake (I thought I pulled it up enough, but in retrospect not sure) and l took the car out of gear and turned it off. The jeep started to roll backwards. No drama, I got in and pushed the brake and put it in gear. No problem after that, but is that something I need to be concerned about?
Owner supplied frame pics — the main reason I'm buying it unless someone has a strong reason not to.
Thanks.
