What did you do to your TJ today?

Lazy day after staying up to watch the A&M game, and it’s 7 overtime’s win. Unreal. Took the wife out for Chinese food for lunch one last time without the top on. Blew all the leaves out, cleaned all the seals and put the also cleaned hardtop on. Vacuumed the carpet, and cleaned the windows. Now looking to take a nap.

Yes, when the previous one failed I pulled it apart to see what went wrong, I found heavy corrosion from moisture on the speaker wire connections. So I went with Marine deck and speakers.
Great idea.... Marine stuff used to be useless sound wise about 10 years ago...but they have come along way since then

Decided to clean up the engine bay today.

Not sure if this is the correct way to do it but there was no lightbulb in my under hood light. Bought some leds and put two back to back so both sides are illuminated. One led just looked weird.

I did the same as you. Thought about just bending the leads to get a single LED "bulb" to point the right direction.

Took the Jeep two weekends ago to Hot Springs ORV Park, and had a blast. Consolidated my photos into a Youtube slide show if anyone wants to see some views of the park and the Jeeps with me. If you're on the East Coast and in striking distance of this park, go check it out. We had a blast!

Replaced the control arm bushings on the front of the TJ. Stock ones had 180,000 miles on them. Still have to do the rear later on. Got all the parts for the TJ/ZJ tie rod conversion but still waiting on the adjustable track bar to show up. Hopefully it will be back on the road in a couple of days.

Pulled the trigger on a couple of 50 Cal ammo boxes...Plan A of the 20m Ammo box was going to be just too much work (cutting off the handles, finding a decent hinge to fit plus the width was a little of the narrow side)
So Plan B is born !! I'll double stack these (like the pic 2) cut out the bottom of the top one and weld together and ta-da !!......the rest of the cutting for the handbrake should be pretty easy.
