And the hose! I must've missed ordering the feed line kit when I placed my order, no barbs or hose......and the clamps do provide a nice finished look!

This should be expounded upon and clarified further. I am extremely capable of getting hoses made with crimped ends to any length I want with the fittings clocked however I need them to be. If one size worked for most, I'd have those made and sell them. They won't work well for most and at best would be a terrible compromise.

I don't doubt what you say in the least.

I built my hoses with the jeep in the Jeep air. I left just enough hose that I was able to install them with the front end drooped out. When I put the jeep on the ground, the short hose has no curvature, let alone question mark shape. In fact, I have enough hose left over to make that hose again.

I understand that each build will vary a bit. I just thought that there might be a "neighborhood" or "ballpark" of similarity, if not on lengths of hoses themselves,then perhaps on the difference of the long hose and short hose.

Thank you @mrblaine for your correspondence and almost ready to install kit! Jeep drives great on the highway and I expect nothing less off road!

I did make one small change during the install to better fit my application. I believe it is now perfect.

Is there a recommendation on how often to replace the filter?

I think I saw vid recently and the gentleman said annually.

How many miles annually? And what is there to be filtered out each year?

I have slowed down street driving, so maybe 10k a year.

As for whats filtered out, likely nothing more than misplaced concerns of failure.

I suspect the filter is there to prevent catastrophic failure in the event of catastrophic failure. Case in point is Gerald was hauling ass out of the Rubicon and tagged a big tree root at speed. That shattered a few teeth on the sector gear and the pieces went into the pump and took it out. Had he been running a reservoir with a filter, he would have saved the pump.
