Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

I've got parts piling up in my living room again & YES I need to straighten up my parts boxes in the garage... And I owe @bbaldwin237 a part I've got to find...
And I told a club member I'd loan him my old PCM to test out in his YJ that he's got a 5.9 Magnum in.. & I have to find it..

So YES

Might be able to help with the pcm. I have one from a 2001 ram 5.9 lying around somewhere that I couldn’t use due to difference in bus type in my 01 tj.

Ahh got it. The one I got is stock. Took it out of same donor I used for my swap. Was willing to help out a forum member by loaning it out if someone needed it for testing and pass on some of the help I have gotten over the years.

This was more trying to help him get a little more get-up & go out of his rig. He'd kept his AX15 too....

After 2 days of searching....

I'll reach out to my club member and see when he want's to work on his YJ. We'll install the Accel coil I've got & have to pull the plugs & gap them to .045 and then throw this PCM on.

@bbaldwin237

Found it finally... Wasn't in my pile of parts either like I thought it was. I'd put it over on my shelving unit and thought I'd looked over there before but either missed it or just hadn't looked GOOD enough.. As they say "Would of Bit Me if I'd Ben A Snake"

The screws for attaching it are in a bag taped to it.

I'll get it into a box this week and sent to you.

It's gotten smaller... I really need to spend about a week going through everything and organizing things and it'd get even smaller then but I always seem to have other things I need/want to get done.

Now to finish trying to straighten the garage a little & then I can pull the Jeep inside and get the cooling system worked on. Then I can go play some.

But I've got appointments Tuesday & Wednesday. But I'm still shooting for having the Jeep back on the trail NLT the end of the year.

I'll actually be passing through your area fairly early Wednesday morning and then sometime on either Thursday or Friday. I've got a special doe hunt permit over in Moses Lake so I'm heading over early Wednesday and will come home once I get one.

Cool, I'm just off exit 93 on I-90. I've got to leave around 9AM or a little earlier for my VA appointment but if you're coming through earlier than that you can stop by. And if not then either Thursday or Friday I should be home.

It would be earlier than that Wednesday. I'll shoot you a message.

Lunchbox locker gang💪 y tho?

I might run it for a while but I doubt it. I'm guessing I won't even try to install it until 2027... So I'm shooting for ARB's prior to. I'll be watching my test dummy to see how these new gears work for him....
I've got my eye on a 14B that's already been shaved. So Jeff's longevity of these new gears will be a deciding factor. If he's got more issues I'll look at going to 4.88 instead of 5.38.
But I've got a while to figure that out.

Dont you have 2 60s. Or is your front still a 44?

curious why the want/need to have them narrowed? I've got a set of Tons 05+ SD/14B but to go thru the effort to do the tons and run 40/42's i want the added width the One tons provide.

Everyone has different goals or build requirements so genuinely curious the motivation to have closer to TJ width one tons.

Front is a HP44 right now and the rear is a CRD60.

Full width axles make fitting down some of the trails here very hard if not impossible.
The seller had gotten the axle as part of a project and decided to go a different route.

Right now with my current axles and 2.5" of wheel spacers I'm right around 64.25" WMS so this axle would only add 0.75" to my width which is about as wide as I'd like to be. And finding a narrowed Dana 60 is rare and the price was too good to pass up on.
As for a 14B there's a few options.
I'm currently investigating using Solid Axles 5x5.5 hubs which narrows the WMS by 2.25" per side. So a 69" wide axle would be sitting @ 65.5" WMS which would match this axle perfectly.
And then I wouldn't need new rims either...

Win Win IMO.
