I going to steam clean my TJ interior. Not sure if I should take the roll bar pads off to clean them or steam clean them on the Jeep?
I'm thinking it would be better to do it on the Jeep due to the age

Thank you

I know the front one requires removal of the roll bar...big T-50 if I recall correctly. I'd pull them out.

I’d give it a shot on the Jeep first. Sometimes the zippers are difficult and you don’t want to tear anything. If they are in good enough shape you can remove them and toss them in the washing machine.

Is the TJ painted like the CJ's were? Meaning they bolted in the rollbar pre-paint? CJ's rust like crazy under the rollbar mounts, I'm a little scared of what might be underneath mine, given that the bolt heads are color keyed.

Most painted and occasionally not in my understanding. Those were the ones that went through Friday afternoon.

Just did this yesterday and decided to leave them and the pads off.

If you decide to remove the covers, you dont need to remove the roll bars. You will need to remove the seat belt anchors with a T50 and the speaker pods with a T30. Foam just pulls off.
