What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

I'd suggest, based on photographic evidence supplied, that you may have actually gotten more than you money's worth out of that set. Methinks it's long since due for the burn pile or scrap heap. :geek:

I hope you don't mind but I've taken the liberty of collecting some recommendations when you go shopping for replacements...

...and for the man of style, Le Corbusier's LC-2 as never before!

You're welcome!

He’s gonna need one big-ass 3D concrete printer…

Ordered a P1S with AMS today. I waited a bit too long & it isn’t expected to ship until the 27th.

Shipped last Friday and arrived today. I guess I'll need to set aside some time for a weekend project. The box looked pretty good except for one corner. I opened it up for a quick check and the front door is intact. The packaging is pretty robust.

My H2C had a ship date of 11/25, but it shipped same-day (ordered 11/19) and is due by Monday 11/24. Currently, FedEx says it'll be delivered tomorrow, but that never happens with them on a Saturday. It'll show up on a truck for delivery tomorrow, and I'll even get a link to track it. Every single time, I watch it go all over the area and end up back at the terminal at the end of the day. I must be in a "you really don't need to deliver these today" zone... 🤷‍♂️

[I'm hoping that a box that big and heavy will encourage the driver to deliver it to get it out of his truck - 🤞🤞🤞]

"FedUp" is famous for that. Bought a vintage Walter PP on gunbroker, had it shipped to my local FFL. The FFL literally saw the FedEx truck go by without stopping, and the package was flagged online as "Business not open". The FFL went down to the FedEx terminal, and raised holy Hell and got my package that same day.

I have installed locking hubs on my Rubicon and there is no open center cap option for my Mickey Thompson Classic III Wheels so I decided to cut the front center caps, designed a cap end in tinkercad and printed in silver PLA.

Finally, a post by someone who actually made something for their TJ rather than just talking generally about 3D.

Nice job. But you should have used silver PETG. PLA outdoors is a no-no. It won't last long.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, i know PLA won't last, but was what i had in the moment. I will buy some silver PETG or ABS and print it again.

Well, FedEx actually came through and delivered the H2C yesterday! I had been working on a couple models most of the day prior to delivery, so when it came, I unpacked it, set it up, and printed my models. Here's one (the light colored one), can you guess what it is?

Yup - a spare tire bumper. Still learning all the settings, so that's just with the default settings. I'm going to try printing it with a TPU top portion eventually - this was just a trial run with PLA. It'll have a steel insert (a repurposed type H drill bushing) pressed in so that the screw doesn't fracture it. I'll be posting more info in my build thread as I make progress.

I'm very pleased with the H2C. What a fun tool! Jeff, when Santa brings you the H2D, you're gonna love it!

Nice. I did some thin spacer shims for mine for when I have the bike rack mount installed on the tire carrier.

You don't really realize how much you were missing this capability until you have it available, then you discover all the things you could have been doing. You boys have some fun ahead for sure. (y)

Seems like there are a lot of folks taking the 3D printing plunge recently, and I think it's pretty cool.

I resisted getting one for a long time because I didn’t know what to print. Since getting one I realized that was not an issue. Changing from Ender to Bambu was a game changer too.

I held out for a long time as well, partially due to the capabilities available in what I could afford, but I also had some reservations regarding use. If I was going to throw down over $500 for something I regarded as a tool, I'd have to justify it with fairly regular use. Like you said, not an issue, which I discovered within a day or two of owing my P1S....and I'd wager the guy that bought it from me is still having fun with it.

When will the H3’s come out so we can upgrade?
