Any Advice Regarding a Camera Underneath to Watch for Obstructins?

Don't put it where its gonna get smashed?
I've had an idea where you would put several cheap cameras at the corners, or maybe somehow pointing at the lower edge of the differentials. And then something like a rotary switch to select which video feed got put on the display.

I bought this cheapo camera as a rearview camera and it works great. Theres probably a similar one with inputs for multiple cameras

I have these inside holding the screen. I have my phone mounted on the other and have never lost or knocked off either while wheeling

I thought I was going to tie up my iPhone while trailing, and I like to use it videoing forward to record the trail. The one you posted has a dedicated screen, and if two end up being needed, I can just put the little monitors both in the spot shown. In the higher center part of that area is where the iPhone rides. I just got through ordering one. If it works out I might add another if necessary. I might make some sort of cage to protect it, or mount it so that I can see if it’s about to be hit. None of this theory may work in practice, but it’s a great starting point!
