It was a nice weekend in Oklahoma - upper 80s. So, dropped the top and windshield and took her for a drive. Expecting rain and thunderstorms tomorrow, so everything goes back up this evening.

Installed my ‘new’ Warn XD9000i. Took half the time the previous one did. Smarter too, built a shelf to lay it on instead of lifting the heavy beast. Selling the X8000i now. Have the original box the new one came for shipping. 
My friend has this awesome Fiat. He's 6'3ish. I'm 6'5ish. We both got in it and drove to town. I'm amazed how much room we had.
Got my new battery in yesterday.
And then did a spur of the moment camping trip.
Got back this morning. Def time to get all the maintenance done on the Jeep this week. But back to work.

Dropped it off at the shop for regear, lockers, and on-board air.
Today I upgraded my Lazy Man's GPS Tracker (Apple AirTag) to a (hypothetical) ten-year battery life. Neat little device, water tight, and when paired with lithium batteries that shouldn't leak, may last up to ten years without having to mess with it again. HYPOTHETICALLY. And if it doesn't, I'll be back to b***h about it.

Just picked it up after getting an alignment and emissions inspection done. Spent the past few weekends doing some frame repair, swapping in a different front axle, and tackling a bunch of little odds and ends. Feels good to finally be back to driving it full time after a bit of a hiatus.
I’ll be lucky if my AAs in the garage last 6 months. It would be interesting to see how long this lasts as I have a tag in all the vehicles.
Had some play in my steering that I've been trying to to figure out, from my dry steering tests with my camera I kept thinking it was in my steering shaft. Well I went wheeling today and I kept thinking that something felt real loose. Well I found it lol. Pretty sure the taper in my steering knuckle taper is wore out. Might be time to save for the big brake kit

I was thinking the same thing. I can't imagine AAs going anywhere near that long without leaking, but I see the Amazon image shows Lithium batteries. No idea how those would hold up.
Lithiums are much better suited for the temp changes (and high heat/cold) and ElevationLabs makes fantastic products. I’ve been a customer since they were on kickstarter in 2012

I'd put one in each of my half doors.. those are vulnerable in this neck of the woods...
Grab a K&N filter kit for a JK. You'll have 1 for spare that can be swapped in while you're cleaning the other.
I have a Samsung Smart Tag in all my vehicles that do t have OnStar, including my trailer. Just hide it in a spot someone wouldn't look.
