This is a LJ Rubicon Dana 44 rear, factory locker, 5.13 Revolution Gears.

Stock .056 under pinion.

Got backlash set up at .008.

Coast side seems good, does it seem a tad deep on drive side?

At first glance I thought it might be 1-2 thou deep. After looking at it up close, I wouldn't change it and run it as is.

I took .0055 out of pinion depth and this is what I ended up with. Still .008 backlash.

Will try adding .002 or so to try it. Thanks for the help!

Those patterns don't compute with each other...

How does 56 look good, but your 54 here look deep? Do you tighten the bearing caps when running the pattern? This doesn't make sense.

At this point, I would rework the bracket to make sure you are truly getting it dialed in. With 54 being too deep, try a 52 to see if it goes shallow. Then home in from there.

Bearing caps were tight, I will run the .052 again.

Yeah something is weird that was a big flip for so little change.

I am wondering if my setup race is the issue. I bought one and should have made one. It’s possible it’s just a touch too loose and giving the inconsistency.

Very well could be. 52 is shallow. Good now we know you need to be 53-55. Keep playing with it and post up. I'd lean towards the 55 since 56 looked good.

I apologize for the confusion with that race, I ditched the race and did a proper one. I ran the .052 again and this is what I got.
