97 tj front cover. I am getting a big bubble when I put the upper part on. It's like the fabric is too tight? What am I doing wrong?

I did see some extra material on the inside does that need to go a certain way?

From everything I've seen, that is normal, although I am sure it will stretch to fit over time.

Even as shown from Bartact themselves.

That’s the pocket for the lumbar support. Like a soft top, give it a day / sit on it and it should stretch to fit.

I’ve had mine a few years now so I can’t remember if they were like that when I installed them but I’m leaning that they weren’t. This is how they currently look.

For 300 bucks I would hope they would fit better. The bottom fit like a glove.

Here is the material on the inside I'm talking about. I'm guessing it goes around the seat back but when I try that it doesn't want to go over the seat

No pic, but that’s probably the lumber pocket.

Mine after 4 years. I still think give it 24hrs to stretch, if not I’ve never had an issue with thier service.

Well it figures I would be the one guy on the forum that thinks bartact seat covers are junk. I have had better fitting wal mart seat covers. These will go back and I'll find something else

I bought Bartacs and spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why they would not fit right...then it dawned on me the PO replaced the seats with some Bestops.

Found some original seats on FB marketplace, drove a couple of hours...was actually easier to install them well out of the Jeep.

Might be your issue...

Get the tactical ones if you can swing it - you will be happy years later.

They were good to work with on returns….I had those and just was not impressed.

I just can't swing the extra money for the tactical ones plus I really don't want or need the extra bells and whistles. I thought 300 would get me a good set of seat covers but color me unimpressed.

P Man the Bartact prices are hard hard to swallow. $300 itself is a lot.

I see that you are returning them.

FWIW,I have the tactical covers and they never had that bubble. I suspect it is because the style you chose uses a single panel for the upper front where all the others posted here, including mine, have the three panel construction.

That said... I'd bet they would have stretched to fit after using them for a bit
