UPDATE: I purchased and installed the Blue Streak OEM style coil rail and it is working perfectly now and is more proper.

    RIPP coil pack bracket snapped

It appears that your bracket is a 2-piece system. Mine was only one place with fasteners at the bottom only and all of that weight on top. Maybe the previous owner that installed it didn't use all of the parts that came with it.

    RIPP coil pack bracket snapped

In regards to firing order, I was just going off what was printed on the unit and what I saw on website. I didn't double check it (should have). I could easily fab up a bracket but since its now running rough I think the coil is damaged. I'm ordering an OEM style unit (Blue Streak) and...

    RIPP coil pack bracket snapped

Thanks. Good info for sure..but it is wired right. Ran like a dream until the bracket broke and it bounced around the engine bay.

    RIPP coil pack bracket snapped

I purchased the Jeep with a RIPP coil pack already installed. Its been running well except for the fact the bracket broke and dropped the pack into engine bay. Something must have shorted out because I am not running rough. This system alters original wiring and firing order. Would you...

Very possibly that the connection isn't solid since it comes and goes. I'll check. Thank you

    Post-OPDA issue

Replaced my OPDA and the ole LJ runs great...but... I now have gotten a "Check Gauges" light on startup and the oil pump is zero. If I shut it down and restart everything is normal again. Its happened twice so far. Did I buy a bad unit? Its the Crown brand and re-used OEM sensor.

    OPDA installation troubles

UPDATE: Unit installed and Jeep is running. I pulled valve cover (it was leaking anyway) and used the valve functions to ensure I was on the correct stroke for TDC. Adjusted the pump with a screwdriver and installed the OPDA. It went in smoothly. I installed the Hold-down bracket...

    OPDA installation troubles

I was afraid of this. Its odd because I lined everything up perfectly and when I inserted the new one if seemed to have shifted. I guess I'm basically starting over and will put back to TDC, remove, line up holes and re-insert. I still have the dingus and will use it again.

    OPDA installation troubles

OK! I got the bracket installed and tightened down. I was able to get my other hand down there and use a finger to hold bracket in place while I got bolt started. New issue is the Jeep won't start. It wants to but wont. Is this as simple as just an adjustment in the clocking of the unit or...

    OPDA installation troubles

If I can get the bolt inserted and started I am good. I just cant get that far without dropping the hold-down. I have a tool for tightening the bolt.

    OPDA installation troubles

I have no issues with this part. Its getting my chubby hand down there to position and get bolt started is where I am having the most trouble.
