Dropped mum off at work as her own car has been getting some repairs done and constantly see this CJ that if I had to room I'd be tempted to try and rescue. I know it's not a TJ but just find it kind of neat

I'm a sucker for a good spin in a car. But it did def get me thinking. Very few Aussie shops that I've spoken with seem keen on doing any proper swaps on a TJ. 1 place does the Hemi conversion and wants a small fortune for it, there was 1 who did a Barra swap but looks like they've gone bust...

Went to local workshop to spitball engine conversions.. Then they took me for a blast in a Defender 90 with M57/ZF 6HP swap and god damn.. I might almost be sold.

Once they're old enough I'll def consider it, family that wheels together stays together

That yellow looks great, has it got a lift on it? Doesn't help that the ignition barrel doesn't have very noticeable steps between lock and accessory. But now I'm being extra careful. The surround doesn't have markings either which seems like a missed opportunity
