    SMORR Fall 2025 Trip

I know I was guiding, but I also don’t know how it happened lol. One of those core memory kind of situations. Had a similar one last weekend in the new Kawasaki H2. Flopped it on adventure Hill in the dark alone.

I like the Kia Niro, 2023 and up was the model change. Much nicer looking. Was $10k less than a comparable Prius and is a small crossover style car so higher roof, hatchback with fold down seats, lots of tech. Picked mine up for $25k with 7k miles on it. So far no issues other than a recall that...

Yeah it was 1 per day, lucky I was there all week and made a visit morning and night to my little honey hole. Also got some other goodies. 4 Roses single barrel red label single recipe (2 x all three releases 2025) Knob Creek bourbon/rye blend, Eagle Rare store pick, Evan Williams single barrel...

Was 7 months old with 7k miles when I acquired it. So no, but the majority (53k) of them. I average 4k or so a month for work / personal. The Ram 2500 sits in the barn until I need it. Guided a Jeep Jamboree in Hot Springs AR last weekend with @gasiorv. Got 6.4 mpg round trip towing 15k or more.

Southern IL was awash with EH Taylor at MSRP recently. I got two for me and 2 for a buddy. Sipping some now.

Daily Driver, Go Where I Want To Build

I got a spare SPod switch and a couple led cubes laying around. I like this idea. Did the windstar filter housing for cowl air intake and it really helped get cooler air into the supercharger. Nice idea.

My 13 month old Kia Niro hybrid already has 60k on it. I’m thinking in two years I sell it myself at 160-180k rather than trade and consider a Model Y long range, or a more advanced hybrid crossover for a work car. Probably 1 year old with very low miles. Let someone else pay most of the...

What did you do to your other vehicle today?

Worked on my kids 2003 Silverado he inherited from his grandpa. It’s bit of a beater 2wd long bed standard cab LS trim that has some sentimental value and I want to help him keep it on the road. Has 125k miles and poor maintenance even though grandpa was an ASE Master mechanic. Mechanics...

What other projects are you working on?

Bought a 4 seat KRX 1000 this summer for around the house. We live out in the country so we can back road and woods ride whenever and the lake is 1/2 mile or so down the lane. Took it trail riding a couple times and fell into the rabbit hole. Has 300 miles since new: Added: Hardwired dome...

Saw the Toadies live and got to hang out on the bus. Great dudes, but may be vampires.

    Wolfbox mirror cameras

Both good points, mines 99% trail these days. Can’t see out the back with the factory mirror anyway due to tint and dust. Shortly after installing with the rubber bands I had my puck fall off so I reattached and bought the mount. Lots of options with these things. Some of them had several...

    Wolfbox mirror cameras

I have the G830 and the optional mounting bracket. Less weight on the windshield mounting puck and I didn’t like the rubber bands. I have mine wired into the fuse panel behind the glovebox. I used the hardwire cable kit. I also bought their license plate mount bracket for the rear cam. I...

Jack Barrel Proof Rye is so good. Just hard to find and sometimes you get price gouged.
