Hi All. Just changed fluid in my transfer case. 2005 Rubicon with the six speed manual. When I pulled the drain plug it looked like there were worms inside. I pulled them out with needle nose pliers. Strips of rubber. I'm guessing it has been rebuilt or replaced at some time and this is from too much gasket sealer. I don't know enough about what is inside the transfer case to know if this could be strips off some sort of rubber bearing seal or belt. Any idea what it is?

Those are pieces off of the drive belt.

Ivermectin should fix it, and some HCQ if it’s early enough. Get after it!

All misinformation aside..I would be concerned about the oil pickup screen being plugged up with silicone..I cant say I would split the case to check and clean but it would bug me. My .02
