Correct. Yet she's devalued by all of these idiots because she's not the best at Excel and doesn't have a solid professional work history. She can't waltz into a great paying gig compared to other folks that have been grinding it out for their bosses year after year, but so what?

The thing that irritates me the most about the whole gender pay gap argument is that it COMPLETELY ignores the indispensable value that women bring - raising children & taking care of a family. It's intrinsically irreplaceable and orders of magnitude more important than working a career track.

I can't think of something more depressing than being on your deathbed reflecting upon all the promotions you got. This entire argument discards nearly everything that makes a woman a perfect fit for a man.

Yea, the quality of data, collection of data, measurement of data, and over all analysis matter.

That is why the methodology is outlined in a white paper per study.

Otherwise statistics can be manipulated to prove whatever you want.

The studies i've heard used to argue the point of a pay gap... all had issues in the methodology.
