Hello everyone first post here. I was active on another wrangler forum but it looks like this one is more active nowadays so I thought I’d ask here too. Removed my front pads to lube squeaky brakes and in wiping off the red brake squeal stuff (I’m using brake grease now) the top spring holder on one of the shoes broke off. Barely touched it and it broke so it was hanging on by a thread. See pic. Is it okay to install this pad without that top spring? Is that spring there just to hold it in the piston during install or is it also crucial for brake operation? Thanks so much for your help!
