Press's LJ-R Woodstock

Hey Chris, good friend just asked if I knew anyone looking for either a drone or a Go Pro setup. His stuff is always nice, we camp with them quite often. Do you want me to connect you guys?

Do you know what kind of GoPro and Drone it is by chance?

It's a Go Pro 8 and 3 batteries and charger.

I was looking at buying a GoPro HERO8 so depending on what he wants, I would definitely take it off his hands.

As for the Drone, is it a Mavic Pro 2? That’s the one I want for the 4K video. I had the original Mavic and really liked it.

It is a Hero 8 and the drone is not the Pro 2.

I can't really talk much myself about the drones, but Nick tells me his Mavic Air is very upgraded and does 4k ultra HD video as well as the 4 mile extended range antenna set up and a full set of camera filters.

I need to look more into it. I know a lot about the DJI Mavic 2, just not the Mavic Air.

Got the rock rails on... Tried to order 3 different brands, was surprised they are almost all made to order and 4 to 6 weeks out. Found the Smittybilt in stock, sat on it for a day and tried to really make sure I wasn't cheaping out. They are the "same" (for what it's worth) 3/16 plate with stainless hardware. Pretty pleased with the quality and installation for a non welded rail.

Also got the ACOS in the front. These aren't really common, but I didn't like the way my springs were seated on the spacer I had and I was a little low in front and knew it was going to be more when I added the bumper and winch. They are adjustable height so I can make changes if I want to. And I was already up in the rear from my correction wedges which I chose instead of an upper spring perch relocation. Went this way because I was going a little higher lift to run the 35's on a kit designed more for 33's. Was it "needed"? Not necessarily, but I like a certain amount of fender clearance and this was the way I chose to get it. What it did do was put my shocks out of whack a little... I'm at 6.5 up and 3.5 down in the front. That will clean up with the RS5000X RS55255 which will put me at 5+ and 5+, optimal if I follow the pro's recommendations. Can't wait to get rid of these Zone Nitro shocks... Will also need 1" more bump if everyone's collapsed length measurements are comparable. But the look great in there for sure and the spring seats perfectly now.

Rear bumper incoming... Also ordered the Dave Kishpaugh's rear geometry correction brackets. I'm not set up for much fabrication, so I will be working with Jason at Absolute Offroad in Phoenix to set up the rear axle. I'll post up photo's along the way.

What did he quote you on that? Jason seems like a really good guy from the interaction I’ve had with him

4 hours, so $400ish... I told him I thought that was optimistic, and he said I'd be surprised how quick he could have us welding those on... I think lining up the pads is where I would bank more time, but we'll see. I'll let you know, we're going to do it in a few weeks.

I ran the ACOS on the front of my TJ also until I got the AiRock kit.

Nice! I just haven't seen them in a lot of builds. But they are a nice piece for sure. And I'm looking forward to the adjustability when I get a little more weight on the front.

They been discussed on the forum and most feel they are too expensive for a spacer. I got mine used so they didn't cost as much but I like them when I added stuff also. Back when I installed mine the rears were a weld in only so I never got them.

The best part of my story is that when I was selling off parts the ACOS I had ended up going to a Army nurse down in TX. But after we'd talked a little come to find out he was in Iraq at the camp I was on and had treated me when I was wounded. So he got them for free.

So, general consensus it they are just too much $$ for what you get. Considering that they start at about 1.75" of spacer, and go up from there... Most people with full lift kits aren't looking for that much spacer. So I get it it, it's a bit of a niche product and they are expensive for what they are. The good part, is nobody had a complaint about what they did. No, I do not plan to adjust them more than the initial setting once I have my base weight determined... And the cost is mostly irrelevant to me.
