Rear main seal

About a year ago I replaced the rear main seal and oil pan gasket when I did a clutch on my 97 tj. It looks like it is leaking again . Behind the valve gasket is dirty black but not wet from oil. Can anyone confirm the rear main is leaking?

I have the same thing in my manual trans. I suspect it's an RMS leak.
I will switch to Dino and observe a bit in few weeks.

Mobil Super 10W-30, a conventional high-mileage oil, completely cured a bad RMS leak I had in my previous car in 3-4 days.

My change intervals are 5k miles. The 3k change interval was dreamed up by Jiffylube to increase sales.

Okay so did you change just change out the mobile one at your normal oil change time

I stayed with the Mobil Super. I have never used Mobil 1.

BlueDevil Rear Main Sealer seems to cure it for most that I have read but remember I know nothing about jeeps yet I bought some before I even bought my first TJ lol

I ordered Mobil Super 10-30 from Amazon. It says it is a synthetic blend. Is this what you used? I searched Mobil’s website but cannot find just plain old Dino Mobil Super.

Where can one purchase this Unicorn? I found 10W-40 at Summit. Napa used to have the conventional but not anymore. Mobil's website only shows the Synthetic Blend High Mileage. Used Penz Oil High Mileage conventional for my last change definitely slowed the RMS leak but she's still drippin' - that's why I call her Leakin' Lena!

I've ran into the same problem, just last week. Both Amazon and Walmart advertised Mobil Super Conventional, yet both delivered Synthetic Blend.

Ordered this, but got Synthetic Blend instead.

Right but I did find non-synthetic Mobil 10W-40 on Summit racing. The 10W-30 on Summit is synthetic-blend.
