Hey guy's, is there something one can buy to ad to the battery terminal to be able to add accessory hot wires to it with out having to actually us the tightening bolt? I tried to do a google search but not having much luck. In a way I don't really want to cut my current cable, as it is one of the ones that is hard wired (meaning not a replacement end that the main wire is clamped to the terminal). Would like to ad something that would be able to hold a couple accessory wires that would bolt to the tightening bolt. That way you just ad 1 thing then add 3 or 4 wires to it. Make since?

On another note, and pic for attention! This is the nice thing about working on a Jeep. Love being able to fold the hood all the way back to the windshield while working around the fire wall. :D

I know this is old, but how do you have threaded studs near the end of your battery cables, for these to attach to? Is this some kind of upgrade you did to your cables?

My battery doesn't have threaded posts, and my cables don't either. So I actually can't install the Blue Sea blocks.

Edit: Looks like I see them here too. Maybe my 97 just lacks them?

I bought military spec battery terminals.

Another option is next time you buy a battery, get one with both side and top terminals.

Thanks. So these go on the same terminal, just over the clamps of your battery cables? I'll have to see if my posts are tall enough for this to fit.

But even then, I think I want something with a vertical post, for the Blue Sea block to attach horizontally. But I can search around for that; thanks for the pointer.

You replace your battery cables with cables that have an eye on each end. The clamp stays on the battery and you attach the cables to the bolt.

Yep, I see that now. Bummer; that's more than I was hoping to get into right now. But good to know, thanks.

That post shows the parts of the OEM battery clamps that I threw away. The remaining cable ends fit over the posts on the Blue Sea battery terminal mounts just fine, or if I did need to drill them out to fit it was so easy and quick that I don't recall.

If your battery cables are different, new cables with the cable ends you need will be relatively inexpensive. Or perhaps you have enough slack in the existing cables that you can cut off the old clamps and crimp on lugs instead.

Don't forget there's a nice 12 volt lug you can use at the rear of the Power Distribution Center. Those two red wires are going to my ham and CB radios. It's covered by a plastic cover that unsnaps to reveal the lug underneath it.

Yep! I plan on using that too.

Oh, maybe you mean as a location on which to mount my Blue Sea block? I'll check.
