What did you do to your TJ today?

I picked up a new set of fender flares for $75, they are 6" wide, I may explore going to a 63" wide axles when I swap instead of the stock 60.5 wide ones. I need to see how the tires sit in the wheel well. Now I need to get the stepson moving on my lawn. I just dont know how to motivate a millennial, I would have gotten a bucket of cold water in my bed if I pulled the shit he is pulling.
Perhaps download a lawn mowing app?

Pretty sure that's a kiwi ride-on mower. Americans need motors. Preferably loud gas motors.
Yes we are supposed to be clean and green down here...problem is the cattle and sheep farting does nothing for our ozone..hence the fart tax levy (yes its a 'thing' haha)

Getting close to the finishing up the Memorial Day upgrades. I’m wiped out from 6-days ( yeah I’m slow and am working around family and work stuff ) of wrenching in a hot garage but also proud of how the project coming.

So I’ve done the body lift, motor mount lift, front and rear 3” suspension upgrade and almost done with the Adjustable track bar.

Still need to center the front axle, install the transfer case shift cable, front end alignment, and while I’ve got the belly pan off, change the transmission and transfer case fluids. Oh. And replace a stud on the drivers front wheel.

Photo is from the start of my after dinner session. It’s now back on the tires. I’ll post the final photos once I’m done.

Found a good deal on a MORryde tailgate reinforcement kit through work. Figured I could get it installed in an hour, maybe 2. LOL. Wrong. 4 1/2 hours, broke both of my T40 Torx bits. 5 of the 8 hinge bolts would not come out. Drilled them all and was able to extract 4 of the 5 with vise grips. Had to weld a washer on the last one with the sides ground down to 9/16" so I could get a wrench on it. Got it out, but it wasn't happy. Need to pull one of the 4 33s off and mount it on the spare carrier to get the rest of it set up, and mod the 3rd brake light to fit wherever it needs to be.

Sounds like quite the project. I still have nightmares about some broken bolts in my past.

Sometimes the simplest things can be the worst jobs and your Jeep will fight you every step of the way
I've ended up talking to Bruiser saying things like ''I'm doing this for you, help me out here will ya , you'll feel better after this is fixed " haha

Didn’t do anything but fill it with gas, but I did drive it to work.

It’s been hot as hell here the last 5-6 days, but the ride home with the top down and doors off at midnight sure is nice. The Spiderweb Shade helps some though.
