What did you do to your TJ today?

Thank you. I’ve been wanted to try that setup but I get fixiated on the bad reviews for something that seems fairly simple. I’m planning on replacing the head unit this week so figured time to mount the phone.
I saw those too. I haven’t had mine long enough to give an honest opinion on the thing yet, but if it starts to loosen its grip I figure I’ll just put a rubber band around the phone holder, and keep going. If it rips off the dash after going over a curb, I’ll duct tape it back down and keep going.

Where did you get those? I really like them.

I bought all of the equipment on ebay. The shifter handle was easy to install. Just remove your console and there is a pin and a spring holding it in place. If you can’t find the shifter available keep checking ebay. Seems like they sell out and then make more. I ran into this issue. The shifter knobs are from SickSpeed and they didn’t show one of them in black & red on their website so I sent them an email and they were happy to make it. I spent $30 for the handle and about $55 for both knobs. Really happy with the look and feel. Don’t want to brag but I believe my shifting has improved…

Did all the parts come from sickspeed?

Yah, I know. That is one reason I didn't do it myself. I did the kit, just so I could at least have lights for now. I will have to have hubby help wire a 7 wire one in later. I will have 2 different plugs eventually, but I just wanted something for now.

I'm actually thinking of maybe pulling my single wheel trailer with the Jeep. I could use it to go get my chicken food. LOL Course, I mentioned that to hubby and he just rolled his eyes. LOL

I put one of the trailer plug ins in my bumper that take both 4 and 7 wire plugs. It's wired up with the 4 for now. When I get a brake controller, I'll wire up the other 3. The hitch has a bracket for to bolt it to, but I figured that it would be hanging too low, so I used a hole saw to put it into the bumper itself. And with it centered the spare would help protect it if rear ended. (and the ball hitch when it's in).

Thanks but I meant the rod.

I just checked and did not see it available on ebay. This is what I ran into before. I had saved the ebay link for it and when I went to the website a few weeks later it was sold out. I kept checking and a month or so later they were available again.

I had considered doing what @DrDmoney did but didn't give it a try.

Pulled out my scrunched up fender and right as I was doing a color test before I actually started applying paint to the replacement, I find that the color is too dark.

Looks like the solar part of my yellow has stopped being so solar after 17 years or they added too much solar to the paint because it’s still too dark for the non-uv exposed paint.

With the help of Google, I managed to get my add on back up light to come on when I put the Jeep in reverse!! :D

I also got rid of the chrome that was on it. LOL :D

I'll get to see how well it does in the AM, but I did order a set of 100W Halogen bulbs for it and a set for some fog lights with the same type of set up. I still need to figure out where I am going to mount the fog lights on the front. :D
