Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

The rugged ridge one. It has gaps under the outer edges in the front.
So far, it seems to work just fine. Holds my 📱 fairly steady.

Thank you. I’ve been wanted to try that setup but I get fixiated on the bad reviews for something that seems fairly simple. I’m planning on replacing the head unit this week so figured time to mount the phone.

Did a little plinkin and helped a buddy install 2” lift on his JKU

I got the same rugged ridge dash as well but swapped out the cell phone holder part with a valstar holder as it’s a sturdier holder. Works extremely well together even in bumpy off road conditions.

dont let @KimsJeep hear you say that, she is the purple queen...

If they had it in purple I would be all over it!!! I plan on trying to dye mine with tie dye dye. LOL Not sure if I will go just purple, or actually do multiple colors like actual tie dye. :D And yes, I tie dye my shirts and more. LOL :D

Did you get that brake controller installed yet? Or are you slacking...

No, slacking on that. LOL Actually, I am going to blame hubby on that. He has been helping his friend on the weekends for over a month and a half now. I will need him to help as wiring isn't my forte. LOL Heck that is why I bought the kit to do the 4 way plug for now. LOL Plug and play. :D

Bought these at a junk yard today for $10 a pop. Had to remove the old tires that were on them myself. Putting my winter tires on these and putting new tires on the original wheels next weekend. Just need to get center caps for these.

Nice find...attack those with a rattle can of primer and top coat and you'll be all set for under a hundred (y)

Well, I guess I made the hubby feel bad this morning when he was leaving to go help his friend. He came back about an hour later and we ended up actually doing something to my Jeep. We started out making a kayak holder, but ended up making a winch hitch mount. LOL We got the back figured out with a pole that comes up from the receiver but then we moved to the front and was going to duplicate that same concept, but I got to looking at it and realized, I don't have a 20 foot kayak. LOL It would have been way to far apart to carry a 12 foot kayak.

Before you look at the pic, I warn you, my hubby is a jack of all trades master of none. LOL It's not pretty but I think it will do the trick. I just got done painting it for temporary in this pic.

We put a hitch in it with a eye bolt recovery thing. Yah, still need to learn all the names of these things. LOL :D

I will need to eventually relocate my light bar, but the plan is to get one of the hitch style plates that hold a winch. That way I can put it up front or back or just leave it home while I commute to work and back. :D

I also installed a light in the back that I will eventually splice into the back up lights. Need to figure out what wire goes to it first. :D

One of these day I plan on taking the bumper and all off and I need to finish attaching the metal we added to the bumper. He welded the top but wants to bolt the bottom. Once that is done I will use that bed liner paint to paint everything.

We also will have to make a windshield type mount bar for the kayak. I'm going through my options for either buying some brackets that are already made for mounting to the Jeep, then just have hubby ad the bar, or have hubby make the brackets and all. I would just buy a complete bar but they don't look like they would go high enough.

That brake controller requires a 7 wire plug, 4 for the lights, 3 for brakes...

Yah, I know. That is one reason I didn't do it myself. I did the kit, just so I could at least have lights for now. I will have to have hubby help wire a 7 wire one in later. I will have 2 different plugs eventually, but I just wanted something for now.

I'm actually thinking of maybe pulling my single wheel trailer with the Jeep. I could use it to go get my chicken food. LOL Course, I mentioned that to hubby and he just rolled his eyes. LOL

I have become an expert at Roll eyes...

Yah, I think that is part of the reason the brake light switch is still not done. It was more of "My Dream" then his. It was a roll eye thing for him. LOL It will get done, just not sure when. :D

The TJ successfully made the return trip to Indy from the Tennessee Mountain Jeep Jamboree at Windrock and Royal Blue. Awesome event, we’ll worth it. Will have more pics and videos posted on the build thread in the next few days but here are a few of my favorites....
