A Story of Indecision and Frivolous Spending

Another shop/ maybe a different company. Ask Robert he was the one telling me. Said something about the woman in charge there has no idea what is going on so he'll ask Gerald's son???

From what I was told the skids are manufactured in Washington and not in California at savvy.
I don't know who would be making them in WA. They have been made here in SoCal since they were developed. The only way they would not be made here is if they changed in the last couple of weeks since I haven't chatted with anyone in that time.

Savvy is always hit or miss. I got all my under armor parts within two weeks of ordering. I ordered my taillights and rock sliders September 15th. I was told the tail lights should ship out this week. I was also told that the rock sliders probably won't be ready for another 6 weeks or more...

I'm with Chris. I don't really understand the manufacturing times. I'm sure there is some reason though.

Product on the shelf for larger items is a challenge. You watch the sales history, you know the lead times, you factor in how many you are currently selling versus how many you have on the shelf and try to do a prediction on when to order.

2 things happen that screw that up incessantly. I'll use the example of our 17" big brake kits. We built 75. It took 3 years to sell them, 25 per year or about 1.25 per month. They have an 8 week lead time. We got down to 10 sets and I placed the order because I don't like to be out and given historical sales history, I had 8 months worth on the shelf.

We sold 10 sets in one month. The lead time went from 8 to 12 weeks. We were out of them for about 3 months and no amount of pleading, begging, or threats could change it.

I’m just happy savvy and others are still making parts for our tjs, if they need to do that to order for it to make financial sense for them I’m fine with it.

I’m fearful for the day people stop supporting us.

Wow, great work and future plans Chris. If my wife ever has an issue with my Jeep spend, she won't, she's the best, I'll show her your upgrade list, lol.

Exactly. Just show your wife my build, and I think any money you've spent on yours will pale in comparison to what I've spend so far. ;)

I wish you sold that non vibrating magic black TJR to me just for research. I'm (was?) getting my Jeep slowly to look like that one though :risas3:
At least that one didn't vibrate... sheesh!

I keep seeing you two say your jeeps are vibrating but I guess I don't exactly know what type of vibration you are reffering to
