What did you do to your TJ today?

Swept it out thoroughly. Found a bunch of pine needles and stuff in a grill on the driver's side of the console, really odd. What's that for, anyways?
Pumped up the tires after the weather cooling. Think I have a slow leak front right side.

Front Drivshaft Ujoints(yesterday) and picked up some bumpers, rear with a spare swingout from a local guy!

I moved my CB from its temporary location, zipped tied to the cross bar just in front of the sound bar, to the front so I can actually see it now :)

I just used a piece of pine board (all I had) and zip tied it to the roll cage. I bought some felt and wrapped it for a more finished look, seems to work fine so far.

Fired it up after an in-place 'refresh'! New pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump, chain, & valve job (etc). I still can't drive it though, lol. I KNEW there was going to be an oil leak! The pan gasket where it goes around the bearing cap in the rear. The gasket that came with my kit was a PIA to get to stay put. Apparently.... it didn't. I'd say I'm close to being done, but it IS a Jeep!

Top was looking pretty faded. Previous owner did not take good care of it. This “Back to Black” purchased at Walmart ($9 / can), did a great job of renewing the top. Easy application, just spray on! Most things I have tried would return to the faded gray after they dry. I did a small test and this kept its black glossy look after 24 hrs. I have not tested to see how it lasts but the can says it is good for 100 washes. Used two cans, about $18.00 to get a little more life out of my top.

Re tightened both track bar bolts as much as I could tried avoiding tightening the front too much but that castle nut pin is a b*. When I was under I also noticed a lot of excess rear diff fluid coming out for the first time this much. Does anyone know if this would be a tough job to tackle that seal when changing the fluid next time ??oh and yeah Rositas so silly sometimes she like to pick me up.

I removed the softtop, stored everything and then put the hardtop back on with a couple friends. Took like 5min with 3 people. The Jeep looks so different. I think I prefer the soft top look but it rains so much here in the winter. I think this will become a yearly ritual for me.

I also took the rear seat out. I had bought these tie down things that I installed along with fresh thumbscrews for securing the hardtop. Need to figure out a good compartmentalized storage for the rear.

I went for a drive later on and I'm sure it's in my head, but I thought the Jeep was a bit sluggish with the extra weight lol.

I also followed the instructions in the SKIM retrofit thread and got everything ready before I take the Jeep to the dealership on Tuesday. I'm removing the crappy Auto-mate aftermarket alarm system that the PO had installed tomorrow. The SKIM is a much better and elegant solution.

@Chris @glwood @jjvw this is my how TJ stands today. Thanks for all your advice early on. Can't wait for the regear to 4.88 next week. I've decided to stick with these metric 32 (31.6" to be exact, 265/75R16) duratracs.

Next immediate upgrade will be headliners for the hard top. Should I go charcoal or black?

I threw an 0431 code last week. I only have 50k miles so decided to just replace the O2 sensors. $125 from amazon and about an hours work with the O2 removal tool. Reset the computer bh disconnecting the battery. Put about 30min driving around town and it appears fixed and it seems to run a little smoother than it did before. Probably in my head....

Run almost the same tires at 255/75r17 and their great for a “mild build” sort of speak right
