New Tool Day

I just need sockets that can survive it's 25" of fury

Maybe you need to lay off the juice a bit, Hans... :D

They do not! I thought I read online they did have a button for that... But I guess not. Seems to take a decent amount of force to get them to flex though.

I was just wondering. Buddy of mine has a Matco with the lock. I think his is a 25". I know he used it like a breaker bar.

The 1/2" drive one is like 6" shorter than my breaker bar. Longer than my old breaker was though.

On one hand I want to be nice to it because I have the breaker bar... On the other hand, lifetime warranty

It's a tool, use it. Just make sure you're picking the right tool for the job, you probably won't break too much shit that way. :D

Ummm if you say so........ 🤣 🤣 🤣

You'll need to accept that the correct tool may well not be the one your monkey brain is telling you to use, suspension of disbelief, if you will. That said, I've seen the "wall-o-tools" you call your toolbox, there is no excuse for you not having the correct tool in almost any situation, hoss... :D

Oh I have the tools alright, and have been lucky not to break any tools in the last several years, and been lucky not to break any parts in the same time frame, but before I learned slow and easy is better than grip it and rip it, I have destroyed some of both 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I have never overpowered a fastener or tool in my life. 🤥

Sheesh you sound like me before I started eating more

Buddy of mine worked at a Big truck dealership, they had to give him warranty jobs due to his parts/bolts breakage......he never learned either......

Do you guys buy 6 or 12pt sockets typically?

My thoughts are to get 6 since they're stronger and either buy individual 12pts (looking at you 13mm wheel bearing bolts) or just use wrenches when necessary.
