Has anyone tried one of these type cutting wheels on thicker materials? When I was finishing my shop in an existing pole barn I was too cheap to buy a nibbler for one time use, so I put one of these in my grinder and cut 100’s of feet of steel siding with it when abrasives barely lasted 10 feet. I got too cocky with it and towards the end of the project bent it, so I never got around to trying it on thicker material but I’m about to start my mid-arm and wondering if I should pick up another or just deal with the suck that is abbrasives?
