So I have an OEM instatrunk that came with my second Jeep (2004 Sahara). I'd like to try it out in my LJ since I was considering a more expensive storage solution (Tuffy). I have the main piece, but just moved. So not sure what I did with the bolts that hold it in place.

Does someone have a pic of the bolts so I know what I'm looking for? Also, is there somewhere I can buy replacement hardware if I can't find them?

Does this help?

You found them at a hardware store? Home Depot?

send a DM to @Daryl to see how/ if these worked for him

Does your rig that you want to put the Insta-trunk into have the nutserts installed in the sides of the inner fender at both sides of the tail gate? If not, you may want to wait on thumb screws until you get them installed so you know what the thread is.

I figure they should be in the Sahara (the Instatrunk came out of the Sahara) and that I can take them out in put them in the LJ.

The thumb screws need something to screw into. If you look in the Sahara you will see the nutserts installed in the inner fender for them. You need to see if the same thing is present in the other one.

They work fine. Only complaint would be the the knob could be larger in diameter.

Does anyone know what the factory nutsert and thumbscrews specs are? Using the diagram part number above, I couldn’t find anything thing that came up mopar or Chrysler.
