The Saga Continues…

Chappelles Show GIF

Save a hoe - that reminds me of a childhood experience, I won't go into details but it ended in the backseat of a 1977 Mercury Monarch which had no shocks installed and very little up travel, it was a valuable experience.

We had a monarch and a ford granada as well - man the doors were so heavy

I’d actually like to respond to a bunch of these posts, because I genuinely did ask for brutal honesty. When I get back, maybe I’ll work though them.

I appreciate that people here are willing to speak their minds. No hard feelings at all. Honestly, I’d be way more annoyed if everyone just smiled, waved, and told me “good job.”

For what it’s worth, I’d probably still make the same decisions anyway. That part hasn’t changed.

What I might do differently is the shipping side of things. Auto hauling is apparently one of the sketchiest industries known to man. I’ve now had more conversations with dudes from India than an elderly person being “urgently contacted by the IRS.”

Everything in Texas went so smoothly with the broker I used that I didn’t hesitate to Zelle him $250 again. That optimism has since been… adjusted.

At this point, I’m less worried about geometry or build philosophy and more worried about whether this thing is actually going to show up. Once it does, I’ll have something real to report back.

I shipped a car with montway earlier this year. I know it's just a broker but the people that called me were Americans and it went smoothly

Tried them after my first guy fell through. It’s so crazy you have to go through a broker, then a dispatcher, then a driver…

As of now, it’s headed to Colorado Springs and I’ll go pick it up with my trailer there. Hopefully.

Why not ship to your house? Dude got a full semi truck to my house lol

That's not even a bad road, just don't be retarded

Agreed. I’d much rather drive Wolf Creek in a blizzard than deal with the bozo’s on I70 regardless of weather.

Sadly, we have trucks go over all the time on Wolf Creek from guys that can’t read, or who have never driven in the mountains.

I like to fish the creek beneath the hairpin turn, and there’s a plethora of Mtn dew bottles and cans of white claw down there.

One year a chicken truck went over and a few days later a bunch of chickens wound up downstream in town.
