Car pics too cool not to share

Because I probably have a few screws loose, I've thought more than once about doing this to mine, minus the rally light pod. The lift kit price is a bit eye watering compared to a TJ lift kit though. Last I looked it was between $15k-$20k.

Those Camaros and Chevelles felt fast until a real Mustang showed up. ;)

The Roadrunners with an RB were actually fast. Did anybody actually have one at your school?

And how many Boss 302's were at your high school ? 383 Road Runners and 396 Chevelles were common at mine. Most of the Camaro's were 350's
My buddy had a 440 Magnum GTX with a 4 spd. and 4.10 Dana -60 . It was almost as fast as the kid in my little brother's class that had a 70 LS-6 Chevelle .
9" drum brakes on a GTX are NOT a great idea.

Pretty sure you're legally required to paint it in Rothmans livery if you go that route... 😀

We had a guy with a 400+ HP foxbody that nobody else had anything that could come close.

One of my friends had an SVO. He wrecked it.

Most of the guys drove trucks.

 That is ridiculous. What all is involved, and how much of that is just "Porsche" tax?

I misspoke. It's "only" $12,xxx. To start. There are a ton of options.

Undoubtedly part of it, but the Porsche suspension in this era is a multi-link system with quite a few aluminum parts, small run bushings and joints. They're not normally that expensive in the stock sizes, but when you get into custom ones it starts getting expensive and there are a bunch of links. Then you've got custom springs over Bilstein damptronic struts, which are not necessarily a standard size or coilovers. There are so many components you need to choose from to put it all together.

I like it. Should work well. After all it's just a high-dollar Baja Bug.

Nah..
If I'm gonna buy a modern wagon this is what it would be.

Audi RS6 Avant
4.0 twin turbo
621/627 HP/tq
0-60 3.3 seconds
Top speed 190😎

Pappy had an Audi. I thought it was cool but he always complained that it spent more time in the shop than at his house.

Had another boss that drove an Audi sports car. He got tired of them not having parts available to keep it running and moved to an SRT Jeep of some sort and was much happier.

He specifically said he could go to the Jeep dealer and walk out with floor mats but if he went to do the same at Audi it was 3 weeks before he'd get them.

Only Audi I've ever owned was a '75 100. Same as this one, sans the vinyl top and sporty wheels. It was just an "okay" kind of car. Sold it to a kid who stiffed me on the payments and abandoned it when the battery died. I ended up sending the towing company the title to clear the towing bill.

Nope, it's too late for apologies, he's already crying in his tiny car.

That pretty much sums up all modern trucks. When was the last time you seen a '90s truck parked next to it's modern bloated equivalent? Hell, even something like a Civic looks bloated compared to its 30 year old counterpart.

And they just keep getting bigger. A few years ago I drove a current generation F350. Man, those things are huge. After the test drive, I got back in my 3rd gen (08) Dodge and it felt downright sporty. Even the steering (old school hydraulic vs electric) felt somehow communicative.
