Thanks, Twin! Yeah, the extremely rough idle/stumbling seemed to come out of nowhere. Did fine on the highway, so was unaware of the problem until my second fuel stop. The drivetrain vibration was one that I was aware of all along, but just couldn't nail down the source until I had reached my destination. All in all, though, I can't complain. The little car averaged between 26 and 30 mpg (reached a high of 31 once), and was an extremely comfortable little rig to camp in. It was 36 degrees outside one night, but 65 degrees inside with the electric heater going. Very happy with that aspect of the car.

I'm usually welcoming to some aero stuff like spoilers, wings, dams and splitters, but this just doesn't work. Looks like some kids were in charge of design.
I do find it interesting that they appear to have come up with a nod to some period-correct slot dish mags on the car. Obviously, they're a modern rendition, but still. They almost go unnoticed because of everything else that's going on.
I think those are sold under the US Mags brand. There's a few C10s running around here on them in 20", and a current generation F150 on what looks to be 18"ers, which I still can't make my mind up if I like.

Well, since you brought it up...
I actually don't hate the first version you posted, save for the Chevy-esque cowl induction hood, and the slot-dish mags (never been a fan). However, I really do like the second version that you posted, flares, wing and all. I'd like to see a little more sidewall on the rubber, and/or wider meats in the rear to fill out the flares a bit more. But yeah, losing the cowl induction hood helps immensely!

These got fat and look like bottom feeders to me. If we're talking Bimmer MINIs, I think the 1st gen is the best looking (and smallest)...but I am likely biased.

That pretty much sums up all modern trucks. When was the last time you seen a '90s truck parked next to it's modern bloated equivalent? Hell, even something like a Civic looks bloated compared to its 30 year old counterpart.

Mostly laughing, if I'm honest. It's by far been the most fun, longest lived and most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I've taken a lot of shit for owning it, down to having my sexuality questioned. I laugh, and they usually shut up when I unfold myself from it.
