Nashville TJ's Build - Continued

Look like a fun trip!! Always enjoy watching your trips!

Since everyone loves helping you spend your 💰 — I thought about this watching your videos over that past couple rides I watched... ;)

I have no personal experience on the product but the Insta360 X5 360 Action Camera get great reviews for exactly the types of trips you take...

Review video (not me):

I think I've linked 'Super Fast Matt' to you before but here are a few videos I think you'd appreciate - both in integration, biking, and general use of the camera:

Using the camera on Adventure bike trip:

3D printed integration (time-stamped in the link below when - plus captured videos much later in the videos):

Tons of clips from the camera in this video from Matt:

Just a thought for you to mount one up and it can capture your Jeep and others... especially as you're increasing your trips.

You may need to find the optimal mounting location - or maybe a rear and front mounted camera ———— but I'm not trying to go so crazy spending your money that you need two.... 😄

Quick follow-up to the Golden Mountain trip. This is what happens to your mileage when you let Victor ( @gasiorv ) get behind the wheel…

Nah i didn't miss anything. Too bad you need to flog those dodge motors to get anything out of them! 🤪

I think it's more the fact that if you tried to flog a Lame Shit you'd have catastrophic failure... Hemi's can run all day long @ 1200 RPM's or 5000 RPM's. Makes no difference...

If Jeff could keep his foot off the floor for any amount of time he'd get better MPG...

Well, I took the rig out for a drive to HomePo and to get fuel yesterday, and took it for another ride this morning. Yesterday was the first time I've driven it on the road since wheelin' Golden Mountain with Victor last week.

And the rig is making a noise.

It's making a noise very similar to the last time I smoked the sissy 14 bolt.

In fact, it's making the exact same noise as the last time I smoked the sissy 14 bolt.

My bet is that when I get around to pulling the cover, I'm going to see another 5:38 pinion gear with a few chipped teeth.

I'm beginning to think there is actually something to "the little 5:38 pinion is weak" myth.

Fuck.

With that 4 speed transfer case you could get away with a higher gearing in the axles and the bigger pinion. You would just use the 5.4 gear more often.

It most likely happened when you told me to hold the brake and build up power and then launch it up the bounty hill, that was quite the eye opening experience.💪

I've definitely given that some thought. 4.88's maybe. The Hemi might actually like it even in 1:1.

Or when you were poundin' 6000 rpm up that last hill climb...

Can't blame you though - I did say "Let it eat!"

DAMN.... And I thought I was pretty talented at being able to destroy my CRD60....

I do wonder if a swap to 4.88 gears would be a better option.

Hope you can get it figured out..

I've also been running Yukon Gears back there. Not the best reputation, but they sell a pre-shaved 14 bolt ring gear - which is convenient. I'll probably explore some other options as well.

Anyone have any recommendations for a ring and pinion? Revolution maybe?

Carl from Jantz Engineering machined the Super60 ring gear for my load bolt... Don't know if he can shave a ring gear but worth an ask...

Your smile was just as big as mine on that hill, it may have actually been a little bigger. I think I even overheard a "yeehaw" from the passenger seat. We know it wasn't from Christian; he was sleeping in the back.
