I have used all the different knock-offs of Stable Seat along with the actual Stable Seat bushings. All failed within a few months. Stable Seat sent me replacements, but they failed too. I appreciate the effort with the 3d printed parts, but they do not work. I have been replacing them a couple of times per year. Going to have to attempt one of the homebrew solutions. Supposedly they last longer.
I used this to repair 2 of the bushings sometime last year, and it worked well. I opened the passenger door this morning and saw that I now need to repair a 3rd one. Hopefully I can find the left over parts from the least repair.
edited to add AndyG's post with the same information as it is straight to the point and has part numbers.
For those who don't need to watch a video:
Same, 3 cars I need to rotate regularly. Really don’t push the seat forward often. If it fails I’ll definitely go to a nicer bushing. I did find cleaning the metal under the seat and putting some silicone spray around the hinge points made a huge difference though
