Will a 33 inch tire work on the factory spare tire carrier?

RE: snubber extensions and whether you need a spacer for your carrier…

The tire size & offset calculator site can show you more or less exactly where your inner sidewall will be on your new tires & wheels compared to your old ones. Put both sizes in with backspacings, and plan accordingly.

I added about 1” of snubber spacers for my stock spare just adding the MorRyde hinge kit. When I upgrade to ~33”, I’ll be able to pull the added spacers off.

Mine would not fit without hitting the bumper, but then I added a 1.25 inch body lift, so it fits now. Most definitely will need to remove/add spacers to the snubbers and to the 3rd brake light... I just used 1" press in LEDs installed between the wheel and carrier at the 2 lug holes not used on the carrier.

This is a 35x12.5 on a factory carrier mount mashed into the factory snubbers with no extension. 🤫
