What did you do to your TJ today?

I mentioned earlier that I had a random misfire code pop up. It has not resurfaced, but I did get a check gauges light on my way home last Friday. The voltage was jumping around a bit. Not big swings like my truck did last year, but I guess it was fluctuating enough to cause the warning. I parked it and drove the truck this week. When I got home yesterday there was a Wrangler Fix box waiting for me. 15 minutes later I had a new PCM installed and I had to test it out. I drove my old unit to the USPS to return it to Wrangler Fix and I noticed a difference immediately. I drove it to work today and I can really feel a difference. It is accelerating much smoother. I have a manual, but it seems like the engine is not working as hard as the rpms climb. Overall it is a much smoother driving experience. Highly recommend the upgrade.

This past Saturday was my 40th, my mom said it was a big deal and deserved a big present. I called her bluff and asked for the MORryde tailgate reinforcement kit. She totally got it for me and I installed it on Saturday. The tailgate was already a little bent from the PO having the 33 mounted on there. I hammered it in to get it back to as straight as possible. Not the best, but better than it was. Unfortunately it also cracked the "wonderful" paint job that was done on as well. Not too concerned about though, next summer I'm planning on pulling the tub, blasting the whole thing and repainting it anyways. Love the tailgate reinforcement kit though! Now i just need to get a tailgate stop...

I saw the Wisconsin "Weinermobile" in town today.

When the hobbits went to Mordor the Elves had to bail them out........

The Eagles Bailed them out, The Armies of man; Gondor and Rohan united under Aragorn fought at the black gate against the last horde of Orcs, Sauron mustered after his defeat at the gates of Minas Tirith. While Sam, Frodo and Gollum fought in Mount doom to destroy the ring. The elves had all (mostly) sailed to The Grey Havens at this point. By the end of The Return of the King, the last of the elves: Galadriel, Celeborn, and Elrond, Sailed with Frodo, Bilbo and Gandalf to the gray Havens. Later Legolas visited the ocean and became so obsessed with the longing feeling for his homeland that he crafted a raft and sailed alone to the Grey havens marking the final departure of Elves from middle earth. This has been your LOTR tidbit for the day :)
