Looking to replace my shocks

Hey I have a 2000 jeep wrangler ive had for almost 2 years now and I had bought it already lifted I want to get new shocks for it but I have zero clue as to what brand the lift or shocks are from due to them having no labeling now i was planning on changing my shocks to a different brand something a little budget friendly but won't be stiffer than a 2x4 like my current ones are max price would be 450$ anyone have any suggestions?
I know its around a 3-4 inch lift thank for the help!

In regard to off-the-shelf shocks, most people seem to like the way the Rancho RS5000X rides. That would be my suggestion.

If you want to replace the shocks with quality parts that will last a life time with life time warranty, try Bilstein 5100 shocks! I doubt that you'll be disappointed.

Measure your coils with the weight of the jeep on them. Knowing the lift height will help you find the right length

I've run the Rancho's and the BlackMax. Ranchos are gas charged and the BlackMax are hydraulic. Both are good budget shocks. I found the Rancho's are a little more responsive but have just a bit firmer ride when compared to the BlackMax. You will likely be pleased with either. I would cycle your suspension and go with the brand that gets you closest to 50/50 shock travel.

A quick and dirty measurement would be the distance between shock mounts at the normal ride height. Choose the shock that fits with it's compressed length with half the travel length exposed.

I installed the Black Max’s this summer and love them on and off road. Definitely a good cheap shock!

You don't know stiff shocks until you have tried rough country....LOL. I do like fox shocks, but I don't like paying a premium for shocks only to have to rebuild the shocks after a couple of years. Bilstein's are quality shocks that will last a long time with abuse. Can't say that about many other shocks really. But hey, your money your choice. Enjoy!

I agree with Ranchos but like state above pain them before you install them. Mine look like crap after 3000 mi.
