Colorado Kelly Flats Weds Nov 5th

Mike are you trailering from Loveland? I’ve never left a trailer at Ted’s, there’s plenty of parking there, but it’s Larimer county, so if it doesn’t involve a Subaru, kayak or bicycle they might not let trailers park there unattended. I’ve never tried though. There is plenty of trailer parking at the trailhead.

How fast is Ted's from Loveland? I might park my trailer at the convention site. If not, then I'm trailer to the trailhead. Is it out and back? Never been in this one before

30-40 minutes probably. It is not an out and back but you drive right by the trailhead on the way back out. The trail pops out about 7 miles further west of the trailhead on Poudre Canyon.

You guys and your trailers... I'm going to be freezing my ass off no doors again. You want to meet at trail head instead?

Wear pants this time.

Don’t think that was the issue. Thank God

Ok I finally had time to look at a map and it's a 2.5 hour drive to the trailhead from my house. It's an hour and 15 from Loveland where I need to go afterwards.

How long does this trail(s) adventure actually take, and is it realistic that I can be back in Loveland by 3? I cannot be late, and it's for work, so casually missing it is not an option.

What say you?

Yes, trail is 10 miles long and there’s probably only 3 spots you can’t go at least 10 miles an hour. I’d say meet at the trailhead instead of Ted’s to save wasting hangout time at two places. But the trail only takes a couple hours to run if you aren’t messing around at the chutes too much. Being a weekday I doubt we’ll run into any other traffic so we can make our own destiny.

I’d say meet at the trailhead at 9:30. Should be done with Kelly Flats by noon at the latest. Those that can, run Sevenmile, which is an equally as quick or quicker trail. After that, those of us that still have time, blast down to Moody Hill if we still have daylight at that point (time change).

None of these trails are long and can be completed very quickly depending on how much lolly gagging we do at the very few obstacles.

Moody has a fun little quarry section with a few obstacles, I'm in for a full day. 9:30 @ trail head works for me. @Abendage we're up in your neck of the woods sounds like you've got a solid plan

Yeah, you’ve run these trails before too, but with this crew, I’m thinking 2 hours max for Kelly, hour and a half for Sevenmile. 45 minute drive to Moody, then 2 hours or less for Moody. Are my times off? On a dirtbike I used to do that route but add in Crystal Mountain, Penock Pass and Monument Gulch and do all of it in 5 or 6 hours, but Kelly is the only one I’ve done recently in a Jeep.

I've run them all individually never all in one day. You guys wheel fast we'll blow through Kelly. I'm staying up in FoCo that night so not on any time constraints

Yeah, Mike likes to keep a good pace, we’ve both kept up with him! :ROFLMAO: But yeah, I usually wheel the same way. I haven’t wheeled with @rasband yet but judging from the company he wheels with I’m sure he’s in the same boat!

Sounds like a great day and tons of bail out points for people that need to get out early. Good lunch spots in Rustic too if we want to take a break for a hot meal.

Sorry guys, I have to back out of this - I was hoping work was going to cooperate but I work in crypto and the market today was not friendly to my trading systems. Hope you guys have fun and that I can join next time!

I’m starting to take it personal 🤣 still haven’t wheeled with you.
